Vastu Store room

The room where family members keep debris, unused items, or valuables is called the store room. Unless you choose its location carefully, it may cause an adverse effect on your house. Almost every home has an urgent and necessary need for a store room, but it is important that the store room follow the rules and tips of Vastu Shastra.

The store room must be placed either in the north-western or south-western direction of the house. Do not place it on the western side of the building. Make sure there is no water leakage in the store room. You can paint the store room in lemon yellow, blue, green, or white.

The door of the store room must not open toward the south-west or north-west. Make sure sunlight can enter the room, as it helps prevent bacteria and keeps the room dry.

Sleeping in the store room is avoided because of vibrations. If storage is needed for everyday use, it must be placed toward the north-western corner of the room.

The north-western or western side heats up more than the other sides because the sun is hottest in the afternoon. So the store room may be situated on these sides, where it can act as a buffer and help keep the rest of the house cool.

The western wall is the ideal place for a window in the store room. Inflammable items such as oil, wood, or gas cylinders must be kept in the south-eastern corner of the house.

If the store room's roof is high, it will be airy and help air circulate around stored grocery items. It may also benefit from more sunlight, since its ceiling is higher than the other rooms in the house.

Empty containers or boxes must not be kept in the store room. A picture of God may be placed on the eastern or northern wall of the store room. Do not allow a dirty, torn, or dusty picture on the wall.

You must place an image of Vishnu on the east wall of the store room. You can store a yearly stock of grain on the south-western side, while items used daily should be stored on the north-western side. Anything watery must be kept in vessels or pitchers.
