Vastu Store room

Where the family members keep debris or the unused items or invaluable items, is called store room. Unless you chose it carefully it may cause adverse effect in your house. So it is quite natural that for the most of the house there is an urgent and necessary need of a store room. But it is true that the store room must be maintained the rules and tips of the Vastu Shastra.

The store room must be placed either in the northern western direction or southern western direction of the house. You must not place it to the western side of the building. You must check that there is no leakage of water in the store room. You can paint store room with lemon yellow, blue, green or white colour.

The door of the store room must not be opened at the southern western or northern western side. You must care that sun rays can penetrate in the room as it helps from bacteria and keep it dry.

Sleeping in the store room is avoided because of vibrations. If the storage is needed for using everyday then it must be placed towards the northern western corner of the room.

The northern western or western side is easily heated more than the other sides. Because the sun is hot in the afternoon. So store room may be situated at these sides so it’ll help as buffer and keep the rest part of the house cool.

Western side of the wall is the ideal place for window in the store room. Inflammable items such as oil, wood, cylinder of gas must be kept at the southern eastern corner of the house.

If the store room’s roof is high it will be airy and help the air to move around the large grocery. And it may also get benefit from the light of sun as its ceiling is higher than the other rooms in the house.

Unfilled container or box must not be kept in store room. God’s picture may be placed at the eastern or northern wall of the store room. You must not allow dirty, torn or dusty picture on the wall.

You must place an image of Vishnu on the East wall of the store room. You can store yearly stock of granary at the Southern Western side. And the daily uses things should be stored at the Northern Western side. Any watery things must be placed in the vessels or pitchers.
