Romesh Brij Sharma was born on 27 th July, 1947 in Punjab to father Brij Sharma is the film producer and turned actor and director. His father was a reclaimed film distributor in Punjab. His production banner is known as Romesh Films which had a career of more than 30 years. He became famous from the film Hum starring Amitabh Bachchan and Kimi Katkar in 1991. He directed the film with Amitabh Bachchan and his son Karan Sharma as lead as Dil Jo Bhi Kahey in2005. He married Sujatha Sharma and has three children. He also produced Diljalaa with Jackie Shroff in 1987.
