It is ruled by Ketu, its sign Leo is ruled by the Sun (Ravi), and its deities are the Pitris, the ancestors. Its symbol is a royal throne. The qualities connected with Magha include the blessings and support of one's father's family, prosperity, beauty, power, radiance, superiority, sharpness, dignity, status, succession, knowledge, ability and a wish to give in charity.
