Srividya was an exponential Indian actress and playback singer. She was born on 24th July 1953. She mainly acted in Malayalam and Tamil films. She also acted in some Kannada, Telugu and Hindi films. She began her career as a child artist in Thiruvarutchelvar(1966) with legendary Shivaji Ganeshan. She got her major role in the film Nootrukku Nooru, directed by K. Balachander. Thereafter she went on to act on many of Balachanders movies like Sollathaan Ninaikkiren, Apoorva Raagangal, and Velli Vizha. In the later part of her career, she mainly focused don Malayali movies. She slowly gained public popularity with movies like Chattambikkavala, Chenda, etc. She died of spine cancer on 19th October 2006.
