Born as Khurshid Akhtar, Shyama was born on 12 th June, 1935 in Lahore. Some of her best works are Barsaat Ki Raat, Khazanchi, Masterjee, Ajnabee etc. she married Fali Mistry and has three chidren. She appeared in the film Zeenat, 1945 and in Meerabai in 1947 as a child artist with the name Baby Khurshid and as a lead with Chooti Bhabi. She won best supporting actress in the film Sharada in 1957. Her last work was Hathyar in 1989. She died on 14 th Nov, 2017 at the age of 82. She came into limelight from the film Aar Paar.
