Padmini was an Indian actress and a well known dancer who was born on 12 th June, 1932 in Travancore to Thankappan Pillai and Saraswathi Amma. She appeared in more than 250 films indifferent languages including Hindi. The team of her sisters were known as Travancore Sisters. She was first noticed from a stage performance parijatha Pushpapaharanam and later debuted in the film Manamagal. Some of her memorable works are Mera Naam Joker, Thillana Mohanambal, Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hain etc. she married Ramachandran and has a child. Her school named Padmini School of Fine Arts. She died on 24 th Sept, 2006.
