Born on: 25th December, 1937
One of the most famous music directors and composers of the Indian cinema, Naushad also known as the The Mughl-e-Azam of music, was born on 25 th Dec, 1919 in Lucknow to Wahid Ali. He produced and also written some of the film stories like Babul, Uran Khatola like Palki etc. His debut film as music director was Prem Nagar in 1940. Some of his best works are Rattan in 1944, Mother India in 1957, Baiju Bawra, Taj Mahal (last film in 2005). He died on 5 th May, 2006. He received Padma Bhusan in 1992 and also Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1981.
