Mithu Mukherjee was born on 19th June 1955. She was a former actress acted in both Bengali and Hindi films. She is well-known for her role as Morjina in Dinen Guptas directed film Marjina Abdulla (1973). She made her debut with Bengali Film Shesh Parba in the year 1972. She went on to bag prominent roles in blockbuster movies like Khaan Dost (1976), Swayamsiddha(1975), Mouchak(1975) and many more. After her 1984 film Dujane flopped, she took a break of six years only to return with the highly successful film Ashrita in the year 1990. She is currently retired.
